Scientific Name: Tillandsia Ionantha

Watching a Tillandsia Ionantha Air Plant grow to maturity is incredible. They start out when they are young, with green-silver leaves which turn a deep green as they mature. When the plant enters its bloom cycle an incredible transformation takes place with the leaves turning a striking purple-pink colour and eventually sending out violet shoots with tiny yellow or white flowers at the tips.

Style your Ionantha but clustering it in bundles (think of a chandelier) or choose a more modest metal or glass holder. Either way, you'll smile whenever you look at your airy companion.

Follow these instructions to keep your Air Plant healthy and happy.

Water: Water about once a week, by 'dunking' them into water a few times. Make sure to shake off excess water and don't let the plant sit in any water - it must be able to dry out.
Light: Bright, indirect light
Humidity: Air Plants enjoy moderate to high humidity
Fertilize:  Feed once a month with air plant foliar fertilizer.
