About this Frog
This dragon-looking frog is hard to spot in its habitats dotted around South America, but due to its unique call, easy for scientists to identify. The female frogs will visit her hatched tadpoles about 30 times, supplying them with food, until they become froglets. Frogs are considered symbols of fertility and the mother's dedication to her offspring may be the reason frogs are considered a symbol of fertility.
