Scientific name: Aloidendron dichotomum
Synonmys: Quiver Tree
- Proudly Indigenous
- Thrives in full Sun
- Drought tolerant
- Highly prized plant
- Perfect for a sunny spot such as your balcony
Add some indigenous charm to your plant displays with the Kokerboom, affectionately known as the Quiver Tree, a captivating addition to any sunny spot or outdoor haven. This indigenous gem effortlessly infuses spaces with a touch of mesmerising beauty. With its shimmering silver leaves and captivating bark, this succulent stands as a testament to nature's artistry, inviting admiration wherever it resides.
Thriving on neglect, the Kokerboom demands minimal care, an appealing trait of this beauty, making it perfect for beginners. Simply bask it in sunlight and water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out very well between each watering. Its resilient spirit endures drought with grace, making it an invaluable centrepiece for a xeriscaped landscape or indoor succulent collection.
As these are young plants and grow slowly, we recommend keeping them potted in a traditional unglazed terracotta, both for stylistic appeal but also for practicality, as terracotta wicks moisture away from the plant's roots, preventing root rot. Perfect for balconies or patios, they brave harsh winds with unwavering resilience.
Please note: Quiver Trees are not considered toxic, however, due to lack of research it is advisable to keep it out of reach.
