Our Rattlesnake Calathea comes in a 14cm Nursery Pot.
The Rattlesnake Plant has yellow-green, elongated foliage with dark green blotches on then, supposedly similar to the markings on some rattlesnakes. A beautiful purple hue adorns its underleaf, which is revealed when the plant flips its leaves up at night, "to sleep". We have also seen them lift their leaves, in the direction of a windy draft.
An ideal beginner plant, that's undemanding and easy care.
Place in a medium to a brightly lit environment, preferably with naturally medium to high humidity, and water regularly, keep the soil moist but not waterlogged at all times.
They are best appreciated from above and make for a lovely tabletop centrepiece especially when pair with a simple but stylish planter, to allow the foliage to be the focal point.
Please note: Calathea are not considered toxic.

Water: Keep soil evenly moist and do not let it dry out. Be careful however not to overwater.
Light: Medium to bright indirect Light
Humidity: Medium to High Humidity is important, mist regularly
Fertilize: Balanced Liquid Fertilizer every month.
