Scientific Name: Hoya Kerri
Synonyms: Sweetheart plant, Valentines Plant, Valentines Hoya, Sweetheart Hoya, Wax Plant, Porcelain Flower
- Adorable Heart-Shaped Leaf
- Single leaf cutting
- Super Easy Care
- An ideal windowsill or small shelf candidate
- High Fascination Value
The unique and eye-catching heart-shaped foliage of Hoya Kerri makes it one of those plants that are super popular indoor specimens, especially during the month of love (Valentine's Day). However, why not celebrate love all year round? They make wonderful gifts for loved ones.
Usually sold as a single leaf cutting. You shouldn't expect much growth from these single leaves unless you are lucky enough to receive a leaf cutting with a stem attached. Which will certainly grow and form into the glorious vine it is intended to be. Note that, if growth occurs, it can take many years for your plant to mature to the point where it will flower.
Hoya Kerri is a semi-succulent tropical vine, like most species of Hoya. They are epiphytes from Asia, inhabiting warm, humid jungles where they climb and clamber through the tree canopy, producing fragrant clusters of blooms throughout the year. Where they are exposed to bright, filtered light, as well as moisture from occasional rains and humidity.
As the Kerri stores moisture in its foliage, it is appreciative of drying out between waterings, though it likes regular, well-timed drinks to prevent leaf drooping.
Due to their small size, these Single Leaf Plants are not very big. This makes them ideal for narrow shelves and windowsills where nothing else fits. Ensure that this tiny stunner receives enough light to remain green and flourish.
Check out our Hoya Collection for more of these fabulous vines.
